Alexandria, Kentucky, in Campbell county, is located 14 miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio. The city is located in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. Originally this area was settled by a family called Spillman in 1793. The city was named after the older predecessor called Alexandria in Virginia. The first post office was set up in 1819.
